HELLO EVERYONE. My name is Estrella. My passion is to help and take care of people's health. I was trained in Therapeutic Massage health field and graduated from Wake Technical Community College at Raleigh North Carolina. For my Medical Massage specialized in Orthopedic Massage, I was trained by LMT Success Group held at Charlotte, NC. Orthopedic Massage is focused on treating painful conditions which affect the soft tissues of the body.
Before I entered this profession, I was once like you who have problems in my body. I know how it feels. I had a frozen shoulder and chronic back pain, sciatic pain, insomnia due to daily stress, hip and knee joint pain, restless legs, and migraine. Through the help of continuous therapeutic massage, those pain and inconveniences that I experienced were treated. Now, it is my pleasure to share it with you and help you through this journey. It is not a promise that you will be totally recovered from the first session. Recovery is up to you on how you manage the situation.
My philosophy in my practice is to listen attentively, courtesy, and do things diligently. With full attention and diligence to pursue my career, I received good feedback from my clients during clinical, and community service which gave me full confidence to practice my own profession. I believe that every aspect of a person's body, mind, and spirit can benefit from receiving massage therapy. As a Medical Massage Practitioner and Licensed Massage and Bodywork Therapist. I treat every individual according to their specific needs. Each session is customized to meet the needs of an individual either relaxing or integrating various therapeutic massage modalities into one session such as Swedish Massage, Trigger Point Therapy, Deep Tissue, or Myofascial Release.
As a Medical Massage Practitioner and Licensed Massage and Bodywork Therapist, I am committed to my personal growth and continuing education, and working together with my clients to promote education and participation in this powerful relaxing and self-healing process.
MICHAEL LACIDONIA, L.A.c
Expertise on: Treating chronic and acute pain, trauma, athletic injuries, stress, and digestive disturbances.
About me: My name is Michael Lacidonia and I am a Licensed and Nationally Board Certified Acupuncturist with a Masters degree in Acupuncture from Santa Barbara College of Oriental Medicine, where I studied acupuncture, herbal medicine, and traditional Chinese medicine theory and practice. I am originally from New Jersey, but have traveled extensively worldwide and lived in China for more than 9 years where I worked and continued my studies of traditional Chinese medicine and martial arts. I stay active and lead an active lifestyle that includes lots of exercises and a healthy diet.
Why I become a practitioner of traditional Chinese medicine: I have been fascinated with Asian culture since I was in elementary school and a teacher of mine spoke extensively about China. My fascination was further fueled by watching martial arts films-especially those of Bruce Lee. When I got older and started practicing martial arts on my own I was encouraged by my teacher to learn about traditional Chinese medicine in order to further my understanding of the arts. This led me to start reading on my own and then later to attend a formal program of study in order to become a Chinese medicine practitioner and also to learn how to treat my own injuries and maintain my health.
My practice: It is my belief that traditional Chinese medicine really shines as part of a health maintenance program. I utilize acupuncture as one of the natural healing process.
Licensed Massage and Bodywork Therapist
We are all faced with stresses that at times can be very overwhelming. The responsibility of running a family, home and business is a constant that seldom allows for a getaway when we feel it is most needed. As a result, we carry those responsibilities and in so doing we have muscle discomfort. How many times after sitting for a short period, you go to get up and you are then reminded of all those aches and pains but ignore them because you must carry on.
Understanding the fast-paced lives of the good hard working people in this area, I would like to describe to you a little oasis which is an enjoyable and relaxing retreat for those who wish to escape be it for an hour, or even longer. It is simple and requires only that you surrender those tired achy muscles to my massages. I know what it is like to have an achy back, stiff neck, twinges in the shoulders, tired feet, legs that just don't want to go any further, arms that sometimes feel they are carrying the weight of the world and a brow too furrowed that your smile muscles are almost gone. Please give me a chance to help you get rejuvenated, to put that bounce back into your steps, to be able to move and not feel like every joint in your body is fused together.
My massage therapy is done with first the proper ambiance. A nice quiet setting with peaceful music to help calm the brain and pleasant to the ears. I begin to work my hands using the deep tissue and Swedish massage technique accompanied with integrated treatments like hot stones, acupressure, and coping based on my client's needs or preferences. I use only 100% natural herbal essence oils for maintaining the highest level of relaxation and therapeutic comfort
Massage therapy is beneficial on many aspects. Besides an aide to help release tension and stressed muscles, the skin and vessels underneath are stimulated aiding in circulation and promoting an overall wellbeing, when your body is relaxed, your mind is more at ease and when you mind is at ease, your spirit is uplifted.
